Virat Kohli Plans For RCB in IPL 2018
Bengaluru: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli said he is desperate to win the IPL 2018. After a training session here, Kohli spoke to the media. He said, “More than the fans I want to win the cup. I have been with Bangalore for last 10 years and we haven't crossed the final hurdle three times. I can assure you, my commitment is going to be 120 per cent to try and achieve the goal this time.”
With the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal, Washington Sundar and Pawan Negi in the squad, the RCB spin department never looked more solid. “The batting has been strong point for RCB over the years, but I think the strengthening of bowling department has been a massive boost for us from this auction. I am very optimistic about our chances heading into this IPL,” he said.

“Some of them I know personally. We picked up players who could contribute to our culture and not be so worried about their personal performances,” he added.
The Challengers have added Former India team coach Gary Kirsten into their coaching staff for IPL 2018. Kohli said, “This was discussed before the auctions. I thought it could be a great opportunity for young players to spend time with Gary, since I too benefitted massively from him in my early in my career. I certainly became a better cricketer.”
After taking a break from cricket for a short time, Kohli felt he needed the break for his good. The Indian skipper was rested for the recent Nidahas T20 Tri-series in Sri Lanka. “I am definitely at 100 per cent now, 110 is what I prefer and that 10 will take a little more time," said a refreshed Kohli, ahead of IPL 2018. RCB will face the Kolkata Knight Riders on the 8th of April in the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
