Vimalakka arrested for vandalizing KBR statue

Banjara Hills police today arrested the Telangana United Front leader, Vimalakka and two others for vandalizing the statue of former Chief Minister, Kasu Brahmananda Reddy at the KBR Park in Jubilee Hills a week ago.

Police registered cases under sections 147, 148, 149, 332, 335 and 425 of the IPC and shifted them to the Central Crime Station (CCS).
Earlier, Telangana activists staged a protest against Vimalakka's arrest at the Indira Park. Meanwhile, former CWC member and prominent Telangana leader, K. Kesava Rao condemned the arrest of Vimalakka saying that the government was trying to suppress the Telangana movement.
