Vikram Goud is Congress' mayor candidate
Hyderabad: The Congress party has announced its candidate for the mayor position in the upcoming GHMC elections. “Vikram Goud, son of former MP Mukesh Goud has been elected as the party's mayor candidate”, declared the TPCC chief, Uttam Kumar Reddy on Monday.
Senior party members have taken this decision after consultation, he said. The TPCC chief also revealed that Digvijay Singh would campaign for the GHMC elections on Jan 29 and Ghulam Nabi Azad on Jan 30.
Vikram Goud stated that the election strategy would be finalised after consultations with the senior party members. By declaring him as the party's mayor candidate, the Congress party has clarified that it gives importance to the youth, he added.
