Vikram Goud Arrested After Discharge From Hospital
Hyderabad: Vikram Goud, the man who hired gunmen to shoot him to cause serious injuries so that he can escape the pressure from creditors, was arrested by Banjara Hills police on Thursday after he was discharged from Apollo Hospital.
The ex-minister Mukesh Goud's son and a Congress youth leader, Vikram Goud was admitted in the hospital last Friday after gunmen fired at him injuring him on hands and spinal cord. His wife Shifali complained to the police that some unidentified gunmen fired at her husband at 3.30am.
However, it turned out that Vikram Goud himself hired the gunmen to shoot him so that he will get sympathy from the creditors who were pressurizing him for repayment of huge debts. Police solved the case after arresting all the five persons involved in the firing incident.
Vikram Goud was produced before a criminal court at Nampally and he is likely to be remanded for judicial custody for two weeks.
