Vijayawada (West) Ex-MLA Vellampalli Srinivas Joins YSR Congress Party

Vijayawada (West) ex-MLA Vellampally Srinivas and his followers joined YSRCP in the presence of president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the party headquarters here on Tuesday. - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party president and Opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday said ruling Telugu Desam Party is ruining itself by the anti-people policies of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

While welcoming Vijayawada (West) ex-MLA Vellampally Srinivas into YSRCP at the party headquarters here, YS Jagan said the exodus which has just begun will continue until the party gets into power in the state. "The joining of leaders like Vellampally Srinivas in YSRCP is a clear indication of the political future of the state," he said and assured that those who join the party will be given their due positions and all the respect and dignity.

YSR Congress party has received a shot in the arm with youth leader and former MLA from Vijayawada (West) Vellampalli Srinivas joining the party.

Srinivas, a dynamic leader in Vijayawada, contested on the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2014 elections against then YSR Congress party candidate Jaleel Khan who defected to Telugu Desam Party later. Srinivas who won the MLA seat from Vijayawada (West) in 2009 elections on behalf of Praja Rajyam Party tried to get into YSR Congress party in 2014.

While thanking the party chief, Srinivas said it is the YSR Congress party is the future hope of Andhra Pradesh as TDP in the state and BJP at the Centre had failed the people in every aspect.
