Vijayawada Court Finds 5 Youths Guilty of Rape

In a significant judgement, a court in Vijayawada convicted five persons, who sedated girls, raped them and filmed the act.

The convicts had shot the whole act and shared the rape video on the social media. The incident happened on August 23, 2014.

The court handed out a life term to A1 Nimmakuri Sairam. Three others Deepak, Abhilash and Abdul Khader alias Munna were convicted for 20 years imprisonment. Another member, who is a minor, has handed out three year imprisonment.

The youths had circulated the video clips among themselves and in other social media groups. Based on a complaint by the victim, the police swung into action and arrested five youths. They were chargesheeted and hearing took place for less than two years. Later, the court found them guilty.
