Vijayashanti suspended from TRS?

For quite some time now, the Medak seat had been a bone of contention in TRS. The issue had particularly affected actress-turned-politician Vijayashanti who had told KCR in no  uncertain terms that she will not give up on Medak.

However, with no action or reaction from KCR, Vijayashanti decided to take a jump. The day Centre announced its decision on Telangana and Party affairs in-charge of state Digvijaya Singh reminding the TRS chief of his promise to merge his party with Congress if Telangana was declared, there were rumours that Vijayashanti was switching her loyalties. Speculation was rife that the MP had made up her mind to bid adieu to TRS and join Congress.
However, even before any official confirmation was to come on the move, in a late night development on Wednesday the TRS politburo decided to suspend MP Vijayashanti from the party for 'anti-party' activities.
It is learnt that the Medak MP had been in touch with some Congress central leaders over a party ticket for the next LS poll.
