Vijayarama Rao resigns from TDP
Ahead of crucial GHMC elections, the TDP received yet another shock when former minister and former CBI director K Vijayarama Rao resigned from the party.
Vijayarama Rao was elected from Khairatabad in 1999 and was made a key minister in Chandrababu Naidu cabinet. Reports say that he is likely to join the TRS.
Vijaya Rama Rao has not been active in the TDP for quite sometime. He has become inactive after his defeat in 2004 elections and has since been keeping a low profile. His resignation, however, will jolt the already beleaguered Telugu Desam Party. The party has lost four of its MLAs to the TRS after 2014 elections. Recently, Contonment MLA G Sayanna left the party to join the TRS.
