Vijayamma vows to help Telugu pilgrims stuck in Uttarakhand
YSRCP honorary president YS Vijayamma on Saturday met relatives of Telugu pilgrims who are stranded in Uttarakhand after the floods.
After lending a patient ear to their tragic tales, Vijayamma empathized with them and assured that her party will take necessary steps to bring them back to safety.
Speaking to media after meeting all the family members of victims caught in Uttarakhand, Vijayamma wished that the disaster never happened. The state and Central governments' lack of initiative was clear now, she said. YSRCP would stand by them and take steps to help those struck by disaster, she assured.
The governments have forgotten their responsibilities, she lamented, adding, there is no value for people's life and it is painful to be witness to such scenes. She also told them about her letter to Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy asking him to help disaster-struck victims.
