Vijayamma slams govt on Tungabhadra

YSR Congress party honorary president, YS Vijayamma lashed out at the government saying that the Congress party was turning a blind eye towards the renovation work of the Tungabhadra project which was initiated by the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

Recalling former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy's contribution to the project, Vijayamma blamed the government for its abject failure in taking the work forward.
Meanwhile, Congress MLAs and TDP MLAs clashed over the sharing of water from the project. "When there is sufficient water then why doesn't the Congress government provide drinking water?" questioned Rayadurgam MLA, Kapu Ramachandra Reddy. Several leaders including MLA Kethireddy Venkatrama Reddy got into a heated argument on the issue.
Earlier, CPI leaders tried to obstruct the meeting but police arrested some of them. TDP MLAs Paritala Suneeta and DK Parthasaradhi lashed out at Minister Raghuvera Reddy demanding the supply of  drinking water.
