Vijayamma's fast unto death protest from Bandar Road

The venue for YSR Congress Party honorary president YS Vijayamma's indefinite strike is fixed.

It is learnt that Vijayamma would go on indefinite hunger strike from August 19 in front of the PVP complex at Bandar Road in Vijayawada to protest against the manner in which Centre plans to divide the state. The YSRCP honorary president will protest with the slogan: “If you cannot do justice to all regions, at least maintain status quo.”

Seemandhra people who are protesting against the division of state were thrilled after the announcement of Vijayamma's fast unto death protest. They feel that her protest will be a great boost to their agitation and would bring pressure on the High Command.

Several politicians including Congress minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao extended their support to Vijayamma's proposed protest.
