Vijayamma demands resignation of Naidu, Kiran
YSR Congress Party honorary president YS Vijayamma asked the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu to withdraw the letter given to the UPA government in favour of division of the State.
Expressing her solidarity with the YSRCP leaders who staged a sit-in at the police station, Vijayamma Condemned the highhandedness of police and such strictures do not go well in a democratic country.
The YSR Congress Party MLAs and other leaders tried to take out a rally in Hyderabad to cement the Samaikyandhra agitation and take the movement forward to the grass root level but were arrested by the police, leading to tension.The police took the YSRCP MLAs into custody when they tried to take out a rally from Telugu Talli flyover to the state assembly to stage a dharna at the Gandhi statue inside the Assembly premises.
She also demanded the Centre to take back its decision on Telangana issue
Holding Congress, TDP responsible for the division, Vijayamma demanded that Chandrababu along with his MLAs and MPs should quit their posts and join the Samaikyandhra movement.
Vijayamma also said "Chandrababu had welcomed the formation of T state and also demanded Rs.4 to 5 lakh crores for the construction of the capital city for Seemandhra."Statting that Chandrababu was speaking differently before and after the CWC's announcement on the Telangana issue, Vijayamma said still there was time for Chandrababu to take back his letter given to the centre in favor of Telangana.
Vijayamma recalled that she and her son and YSRCP president had taken up indefinate hunger strikes demanding status quo of the state.
Vijayamma opined that that the process of division of the state would be stopped only if Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Union and state ministers as well as MPs and MLAs resigned from their posts.
