Hyderabad: Vijay Deverakonda is on a high, and quite understandably so as he has recently earned the distinction of being the second among the Most Desirable Men 2017 in Hyderabad.

The latest we hear is that he has rejected filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma's offer. Yes, you read that right. Vijay was apparently approached by RGV for a film, but the former had to refuse owing to his prior work commitments and tight-packed schedules. The actor has a slew of projects in the pipeline for the year; In fact he is gearing up to make his Kollywood debut with NOTA, a bilingual film. Considering all this, Deverakodna had to refuse RGV’s offer.

It may be recalled that RGV had heaped praises on the actor after watching Arjun Reddy. He had also made a statement that Vijay had surpassed Pawan Kalyan, in terms of looks and histrionics. Deverakonda was elated by RGV’s remarks and met him in Mumbai after which he shared a selfie on Facebook captioning it, “A man with balls bigger than his triceps and brains bigger than both. Goodtimes with RGV." We understand how regretfully Deverakodna must have had to say no to RGV, who he held in high regard.

On the professional front, Deverakonda is busy with Taxiwala, produced by Geeta Arts. It is being directed by Rahul Sankrityayan. Vijay will also appear in the most anticipated biopic Mahanati. Interestingly, he has also signed up a bilingual film NOTA (None of the above), to be released in Tamil and Telugu. Directed by Anand Shankar, the film has Mehreen Pirzada in the lead.
