Guntur: Fake Naxals Rob Petrol Pump Station, Flee With Rs 40,000

GUNTUR: Miscreants posing as Naxalites robbed a petrol pump located on Guthikonda road in Piduguralla Mandal in Guntur district on Saturday night.Three persons dressed as Naxals attacked two employees of a Bharath Petroleum station with guns and sticks and stole Rs 40,000 from the cash register. Before stealing the cash they destroyed the CCTV equipment and windows, threatened the staff of dire consequences, and fled from the scene. The employees said  that the miscreants came after they had closed the petrol pump, were wearing masks and  gloves and sounded like educated people.Despite pleading with them to not hurt-them they had hit them with sticks before committing the robbery.  The staff who received injuries on the head were rushed to hospital for treatment. After receiving information about the incident, the police registered a case and launched an investigation.
