A leopard was found dead on the main road near Kakatiya School at Manyamkonda in Mahabubnagar district on Wednesday. Locals called forest officials, who upon primary investigation say that the leopard may have been killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle while trying to cross the road. The leopard is said to be two years old. Locals say that it is common to see leopards crossing on National Highway 167.
