Video Of Jailed MLA Abusing Cop Goes Viral

Mumbai: A jailed Maharashtra MLA from the Opposition Nationalist Congress Party was caught on cam abusing a police official as the vehicle in which he was to be taken to the hospital arrived late. The video has gone viral.

Reacting to the video, Mumbai police commissioner Datta Padsilgikar said an inquiry has been ordered into the incident. "I have ordered a high-level enquiry into the incident. Stern action would be taken if anyone is found guilty," he said.

The MLA, Ramesh Kadam, represents Chiplun in Coastal Maharashtra. He was lodged in Arthur Road jail for his involvement in financial irregularities in Annabhau Sathe Backward Classes Development Corporation, during his stint as its chairman.
