Veteran Telugu actor Kamala Devi no more

Telugu dubbing artiste, playback singer and actor, TG Kamala Devi passed away at the age of 84 in Chennai today. 

Born Govindamma, she was also a billiards player. Kamala Devi joined a drama company and acted in both male and female roles for some time. The role of Alexander is considered to be one of the memorable ones that she donned. She had received many medals for her performances in plays. She moved to films and acted in about 30 movies most of them being minor roles. The Nataka Kala Prapoorna award was given to her by the Andhra Pradesh Nataka Academy.
