Verdict on Mopidevi's bail petition on Monday
The CBI court on Friday adjourned to September 16 the hearing on the bail petition of former Excise Minister Mopidevi Venkataramna, who was arrested by the CBI for irregularities in the allotment of lands to VANPIC.
It is being learnt that the arguments from both Mopidevi as well as the CBI side was completed today. The court is expected to deliver its verdict on Monday.
Mopidevi filed a petition in the CBI court on Thursday last seeking interim bail on medical grounds. In the petition, he mentioned that he was suffering from chronic back pain due to problem in his spinal cord.
It may be recalled here that Mopidevi was taken to Osmania General hospital several times by the Chanchalguda jail authorities in the past few months for treatment after he complained of Back pain.
