Venkaiah Naidu for `special status’ to AP
“Neither the national development council nor the planning commission approved the accordance of special status to AP” said Union Minister for Urban development M.Venkaiah Naidu
Talking to the media on Tuesday in New Delhi following a meeting with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Venkiah Naidu said that the ``special status’’ accordance is now being an issue following the guidelines of the 14 finance planning commission and added that they were doing their best to fulfill their poll promise.
The minister requested the political parties not to politicize the issue.
Venkaiah Naidu said that they invited Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to the meeting who, he said, assured of a speedy solution.
