Venkaiah Naidu flays parties for dividing people
BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday criticised that some political parties were trying to divide people on the lines of caste, religion, region and group.
Addressing a meeting in Visakhapatnam, Venkaiah Naidu said the parties were doing it for grabbing power. He said caste was a temporary issue while the religion was personal. His party BJP had never said to follow one religion, but it would appeal people to follow the dharma, Venkaiah Naidu said and expressed concern over decreasing moral values in the present day politics.
Leaders were changing parties for the sake of opportunism. He exhorted that the leaders should keep confidence on the ideals of the political parties. People were looking for development not populist schemes, the BJP leader said and appealed to youth to vote for the party which would take the country towards development.
