VD Rajagopal released from jail
Former Andhra Pradesh Director of Mines and accused in the Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) illegal mining case, VD Rajagopal, who was granted bail was released from Chanchalguda prison on Saturday.
The jail officials released him from the prison after receiving the bail sanction order of the court.
The CBI court on Friday granted bail to VD Rajagopal. However, it was already late on Friday when the court pronounced its order and the jail authorities could not receive a copy of the verdict within the stipulated hours. He was released after completion of formalities as per the jail manual, sources said.
Rajagopal was arrested on November 12, 2011 in connection with the OMC case and was lodged in the Chanchalguda jail.
