Vatti Vasanta Kumar quits politics
Minister in erstwhile Kiran Kumar Reddy cabinet and senior Congress leader, Vatti Vasanta Kumar has decided to quit politics.
Speaking to reporters at Unguturu on Monday, he said that moving forward he would not participate in any type of political activity.
In 2009 elections, he defeated Ganni Lakshmi Kantam of TDP from Unguturu constituency with a margin of 6,459.
He termed the bifurcation of the state as unfortunate and added that Polavaram project should be completed at the earliest.
Vatti entered the politics as the son of Vatti Venkata Ranga Parthasaradhi.
He rose well in politics during the tenure of chief minister Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy.
Dissatisfied with the bifurcation of the state, he decided to give up politics.
