Varun Tej Opens Up On Puri’s Involvement In Drugs Scam

Hyderabad: Actor from the Mega stable Varun Tej has opened up on the controversial drug scandal and director Puri Jagannath, who was interrogated on Wednesday on his alleged links with the drug mafia. The actor in an interview said that he was shocked on hearing Puri's name doing rounds in the scandal and strongly refuted the allegations.

“I have worked with him in Loafer. He is a very positive person and can never be associated with such stuff,” Varun said.

When asked about the tarnished reputation of Tollywood, he said Tollywood's image was sullied even before this incident. The driver of an auto I traveled in once, has also spoke lightly about the film industry."

On the drug scam, he said the law will take its own course and the people should not make negative comments.
