'Urine is a Good Antiseptic'

Patna: Ever the newsmaker, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has stated that human urine is also a good antiseptic like dettol.
Addressing the Homeopathic Science Congress here on Tuesday, he said during his childhood wounds were cleaned with urine and that it acted as a antiseptic for the wounds. However people nowadays are using dettol to clean the wounds and also as handwash, he said.
Incidentally, the state health minister and Lalu's son Tej Pratap was scheduled to address the Science Congress. Lalu Prasad is said to be filling-in on his behalf.
