UPA pullout: TRS mulls DMK move - Sakshi Post

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLA Harish Rao on Wednesday demanded the resignation of the Telangana Congress MPs, if they were serious on the Telangana issue.

Criticizing them, the TRs MLA said that DMK was fighting for the benefits of their people living in other countries, but Telangana Congress MPs had forgotten about the welfare of Telangana people who voted them to power.

He also said that this was the right time to respond on the issue in view of the DMK withdrawing support to UPA. They should mount pressure on the minority government to achieve a separate Telangana state. "If we fail to do so, people will not believe us," he added.

Joining the attack, TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao's son and MLA from Sircilla, K T Rama Rao also demanded immediate resignation of the Telangana Congress MPs.

Speaking at the Assembly point, he said that the MPs should stick to their promise of resignation they made in the past, if they were serious about achieving separate statehood for Telangana. KTR also suggested that the 'T' Congress MPs withdrw their support to UPA government.
