Union cabinet berth compulsory for Gokarajau ! - Sakshi Post

It is appearing that Narasapuram MP Gokaraju Gangaraju may get a berth in the union cabinet. He is the brother-in-law of former TTD chairman Kanumuri Bapiraju.

There are only two MPs for BJP in Andhra Pradesh. They are Gokaraju Gangaraju and K.Haribabu (Visakhapatnam). Earlier, there were some news reports that either of them might be inducted into the union cabinet to strengthen the party in the state.

Haribabu is the party president of Andhra Pradesh. As the party national leadership is implementing the policy of ‘One man, one post’, then chances of Haribabu getting an entry into the cabinet are stopped there.

It is known that BJP is planning to strengthen itself in Andhra Pradesh. It is also planning to contest in the elections on its own in the near future in the state. As part of the strategy, the party is planning to use the services of an experienced leader like Haribabu for the party as the Visakhapatnam MP has enough knowledge on the happenings in the state.

If Haribabu is made a union minister, another leader has to take over as the party chief of Andhra Pradesh. Then, it takes some more time for the new party chief to have a grip on the party affairs of the state. So, the party national leadership is thinking of continuing Haribabu in his post and induct Gokaraju into the union cabinet.

Further, the party cadre in Andhra Pradesh is not happy as none of their MPs got an entry into the union cabinet. By making Gokaraju an union minister, the type of dissidence can also be thwarted.

Considering these things, the chances of Gokaraju getting an entry into the union cabinet are appearing bright.
