Twin Murders Rattle Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The city was rattled by twin murders, on Tuesday, as the victims were killed brutally and their bodies mutilated.

In the first incident, a B.Tech student identified as Anusha was bludgeoned to death in Hayathnagar. She was a native of Deverakonda in Nalgonda district. She was staying with her sister and brother-in-law and was preparing for competitive exams. She was engaged to Mohan of the same district, her family members said and suspect his role in Anusha's murder. They pointed out that since the news of her murder broke out, Mohan's phone was switched off. He also harassed her on several occasions after the engagement, Anusha's family members said.

In the second incident, the dismembered body of a middle-aged woman was found stuffed in a gunny bag in Sriramnagar Colony of Kondapur. Alerted by the colony residents, police arrived at the scene and recovered the body. Further details are awaited.

The two murders come in quick succession to the triple murders of Monday, in Chandanagar. The victim Aparna, her daughter Karthikeya (5) and her mother Jayamma (50) were murdered by a man identified as Madhu. He, later, surrendered to the police.
