Two Wives Strangle Man And Burnt His Body To Ensure Death

Hyderabad: This man at Asbestas colony in Jagadgirigutta on the city outskirts was living with two wives in a house. Mahender Yadav, a daily wage laborer, was a drunkard and he would harass both Jyothi and Padma on a daily basis. As the harassment aggravated in recent days, both the women joined hands to get rid of their common problem.

Mahender continued his daily dose of torture on both the women on Saturday night. As they already planned, the women strangled their husband with a chunni. They were not sure if he died or not. To be doubly sure, they pulled the body into the backyard and burnt it after dousing it with kerosine.

The police came to know about the incident on Sunday morning and they conducted a panchanama. They shifted whatever remains of the body were found at the spot for a post-mortem to Gandhi Hospital.

The two women were arrested and kept in custody at the police station. The deceased had five sons from both wives. ACP Govardhan and CI Srinivas are conducting an investigation.
