Two School Girls Mowed Down by Lorry

Hyderabad: Two school girls were crushed to death by a lorry when they were returning home from school on a Scooty moped driven by their grandfather, here on Monday.

The victims identified as Shirya (10) and Harshitha (6) were studying sixth and third class, respectively, at Vigyan Jyothi School. On Monday afternoon they were returning with their grandfather Balaiah (65) on his Scooty when a lorry hit them at Rampalli in Keesara mandal. Balaiah suffered critical injuries and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital. The accident spot represented a gory scene with the body parts of the children strewn around the road.
