Warangal: Two Maoist insurgents were killed in an encounter in Medaari forest at Taadvayi Mandal, Waranagal district.The police have received information about Maoists presence and have been on high alert ever since in the area.

According to sources, the Moists opened the fire first and the police retaliated. Two Maoist insurgents linked to the KKW division were killed in the shootout. Police also found two guns and kit bag on the spot.

Police have launched a manhunt for the Maoists who managed to flee from the shootout spot. According to police the Maoists had come from Chattisgarh.
