2 CMs... 2 MLAs.... 2 Officials... 2 Reactions....
An MLA misbehaves with a Government official. What would a Chief Minister do? Well! it depends who the Chief Minister is and what mettle he is made of.
If he is Telangana Chief Minister KCR, he would slam the act, admonish the MLA, order him to apologise and threaten to suspend him from the party if he didn't.
The moment KCR was informed about Mahabubabad's MLA Banoth Shankar Naik pushing District Collector Preeti Meena at the Haritha Haram programme, he took to Twitter to shoot off the fiat. Not just that, he deputed a key minister from North Telangana to assuage the hurt feelings of the lady district collector. Despite the apologies, the MLA was arrested post haste.
Cut to neighbouring Andhra Pradesh! If an MLA did the same thing in Andhra Pradesh, how would CM Chandrababu react? It is there for all of us to see. When Denduluru MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar slapped and dragged a woman tehsildar for objecting to his sand quarrying, Chandrababu didn't say a word. There was no action, no apologies whatsoever. Instead, the tehsildar was pulled up for daring to confront the MLA. In the incident on Vijayawada RTA, senior IPS officer Balasubrahmanyam was manhandled by a TDP MP and an MLA. Till now, there is no action on any of them. Nani did apologise, but only after great pressure. He is still sulking. Chandrababu has remained silent all along.
Soon after the Shankar Naik incident, netizens have gone into a tizzy comparing both the CMs and their actions and reactions to similar circumstances.
These two incidents show that KCR is a decisive leader and Chandrababu - anything but.
