Twitterati Ecstatic After MP Refers To Himself As ‘The Giant P****’

The phallic shaped cloud heading towards Devon
Its not without reason that ‘Bond films’ have a large following the world over. They are loved as much for the jaw dropping stunts and action as they are enjoyed for the dialogues and double entendres. Add to it a bit of self-effacing humour and you now have scripted a success that is sure to win the hearts of many.
This strong theme of sarcasm and self-deprecation, often with deadpan delivery, is characteristic of British humour. Take the example of the Tory MP Johnny Mercer, who recently used the image displayed by the BBC weatherman after adding to it a dose of that self-effacing humour, and won him a lot of admirers on Twitter.
When presenting the forecast on Friday, the BBC weatherman Matt Taylor appeared either to have not spotted the ‘phallic’ shaped cloud in the image, or chose to ignore it for the obvious embarrassment it would create. This however did not stop the Tory MP from commenting on the tweets of those who did notice that phallic cloud and had decided to have some fun with it.

Johnny Mercer responded to a tweet which read “Exeter @ExpressandEcho reports ‘giant p****’ heading for neighbouring city of Plymouth.” by saying “A bit early. I haven’t even left London yet.”

The Tory MP’s humour went down well among the twitter users who had re-tweeted it many times.
Innuendo and double entendre soon followed
Peter McCormack was among those to comment, saying: “He said a giant one Johnny, you’re in the clear.”
While Juan Incognito wrote on the social network: “Autumn statement has been hard on everyone?”
