TTD to build temple at Banjara Hills
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has decided to construct a huge temple of Lord Venkateswara at Banjara HIlls in Hyderabad. The temple would be built on a 3.5 acre swathe of land.
The TTD governing body met at Tirumala on Tuesday. Another key decision pertains to the setting up of Aurobindo Netralaya in Tirupati. For this Rs 100 crore would be spent and land measuring 7 acres would be allocated.
Among the other decisions of the TTD are: setting up of a committee for hiking the fares of services to the Lord, of Laddus and also the rates of guesthouses. The TTD also decided to hold Srinivasa Vaibhavotsavam at Delhi from October 30. IN another key decision, the maintenance of the Kalyani Dam would be handed over to the L and T.
