TRS leaders Sravan, Kattela join Congress

TRS leaders Dr.Dasoju Sravan and Kattela Srinivas Yadav joined Congress party on Saturday.

Sravan was a strong advocate of separate statehood for Telangana. He wanted to contest from either Bhongir or Musheerabad assembly constituency. But, TRS did not give him the ticket.

Both the leaders joined Congress party in the presence of Union Minister Jairam Ramesh and Telangana PCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Saturday.

Immediately after joining the party, Sravan was made the chief spokesperson of Congress party.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Sravan said, “Telangana should be freed from the family rule of TRS. Social justice in Telangana is possible only with Congress party. TRS gave tickets to those who acted against the interests of Telangana region.”
