TRS leaders meet Shinde

TRS leaders K.Tarakarama Rao and Vinod met the Union Home Minister, Sushil Kumar Shinde in the national capital today.

The meeting comes against the backdrop of Shinde's remarks that smaller states tend to worsen the problem of naxalism. The TRS leaders are reported to have clarified to the Home Minister that there was no connection between naxalism, which was a product of socio-economic disparities, and small states. They claimed that they reminded Shinde of the fact that Bihar and Madhya Pradesh were plagued with naxalism  long before the division of the states came into effect
