TRS Government Announces 100 per cent Subsidy for Farmers
Hyderabad: The Telangana government announced 100 per cent subsidy for small and marginal farmers.
Addressing the state on the occasion of the 70th Independence Day celebrations held at Golconda Fort, here on Monday, Chief Minister K
Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) said that the state government is committed to the upliftment of farmers and is poised to launch several welfare
measures for them.
Listing out the welfare measures of his government, the Chief Minister said Kalyana Lakshmi scheme would be extended to BCs, free education
is being implemented from KG to PG and allocation of Rs 100 crore for poor Brahmins in the state budget.
12 per cent reservation for STs and filling-up of one lakh government posts are the other targets of the Telangana government, the Chief Minister said.
In the ensuing four months, the state will get 1000 MW of power from Chattisgarh state, the Chief Minister said.

Regarding the much-awaited announcement on creation of new districts, the Chief Minister said an official announcement will be made in this regard on Dasara.
The state is also attracting huge investments across all sectors, Chandrasekhar Rao said and added that so far Rs. 46,000 crore investments have been made in Telangana.
