TRS, Congress candidates attacked
Senior TRS leader was attacked in Telangana and another Congress candidate was attacked in Seemandhra on Thursday.
TRS leader Etela Rajendar went to Narsingapur in Veenavanka mandal in Karimnagar district for election campaigning. The villagers attacked him and his vehicle. They accused Rajendar of shielding culprits involved in the murder of ex MPTC Balaraju.
On the other hand, Araku Lok Sabha candidate in Visakhapatnam district Kishore Chandra Deo was attacked by the followers of rebel candidate Gangadhar.
The incident took place at the nomination filing event of the minister. Police intervened to bring the situation under control. As situation turned tense, Section 144 was imposed in the area.
