Troublesome Tuesday For Hyderabadis: Roads Not To Be Taken, Areas Not To Be Visited
With the high profile visits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President's daughter Ivanka Trump slated for Tuesday, the denizens have to brace up for a tough day on roads. Traffic restrictions, diversions and road closures would be in force at several places in the city. Fortunately, most of the Prime Minister's visit is by chopper. He would hit the road only while reachign Falaknuma Palace and Shamshabad Airport.
Here are the areas that will be affected due to the VVIP visits:
Miyapur: This is where the prime minister will formally inaugurate the prestigious Metro rail. The buses will be diverted in this area. Several schools in Miyapur area have announced a holiday on Tuesday in view of Modi's outing.
Kukatpalli: After inaugurating the Metro Rail service at Miyapur, the Prime Minister will travel in the train up to Kukatpalli and back to Miyapur. All the buses in this route would be diverted. A holiday has been declared for the school.
Begumpet: Though there are no traffic restrictions for Begumpet area, as the Prime Minister is flying to Miyapur, there is likely to be heavy VIP movement on the road.
Falaknuma: This has been turned into a fortress. The prime minister and Ivanka Trump would attend a dinner here. Nearby areas like Chandrayangutta, Jangammet have seen repeated cordon and search operations. The Central Government is hosting a dinner in Falaknuma Palace.
Aramgarh: This key station en route the Shamshabad airport will witness VIP movement during the evening. Prime Minister would be reaching Shamshabad by this route. If you have to catch a flight, adjust your timings accordingly.
Golconda Fort: If you are planning a visit to Golconda, postpone it. The State Government will host a dinner in Golconda fort. Heavy police deployment has already converted this place into a NO GO area.
HICC: Though there are no traffic restrictions per se in HICC, where the Global Entrepreneurship Summit would be held, the citizens are being advised to carry their identity cards.
