Trivikram Makes a Safe Bet After Agnyaathavaasi Controversy
Maverick Telugu film director Trivikram Srinivas is popular as a dialogue writer and his one-liners in films are much adored. He had penned lines for films like Nuvvu Naaku Nachhav, Manmadhudu and Nuvve Kavali which went on to become blockbuster hits. He made his directorial debut with Nuvve Nuvve which also performed well at the box office.
After a successful streak as dialogue writer and director, it looks like all is not well with Trivikram Srinivas. He has been accused of copying Hollywood films without even giving credit to the original versions. It is a known fact that Nithiin starer A..Aa film was the copy of yesteryear's Telugu film Meena, but it didn't create problem for him.
However, his recent outing Agnyaathavaasi has made it to the headlines for all the wrong reasons and directly affected his image. People had expected Trivikram to recreate the magic of Atharintiki Daredi in Agnyaathavaasi but he has failed miserably. Moreover, he has been accused of copying the French Film Largo Winch. Till now, he hasn't admitted to is mistake.
In the meantime, Trivikram is gearing up to collaborate with Jr NTR for the first time. A little birdie tells us that Trivikram is playing it safe for this film by adapting Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani's novel.
The twist in the tale is that Trivikram has bought the rights of the novel and will be making few changes to suit the Telugu audiences. After Agnyathavaasi plagiarism row, Trivikram seems to have learned his lessons!
