Tripurana appointed chief of Mahila Commission

With the advent of local body elections followed by general elections, the State Government has started to add more vigour to the party cadre by offering nominated posts.

The Government issued orders nominating Tripurana Venkatarantnam as chairperson of the State Mahila Commission on Monday. Sunita Krishnan, Paruchuri Jamuna, Malliswari, Kasturi and Feroz Begum have been appointed as members of the commission.
