Treasure hunting on rise in YSR Kadapa

Unauthorised excavations in the ancient temples are on the raise in YSR Kadapa district.
Some unidentified miscreants took up excavations at Venugopalaswamy temple in Peddanapadu village in Yerrgundla mandal for treasure.
The ancient temple was dug indiscriminately by the unscrupulous elements. Several other temples were also destroyed due to the excavations in the district. The villagers alleged that the police made no efforts to stop illegal excavations.
