Training for newly-elected MLAs
The two-day training programme for the newly-elected MLAs and MLCs of Andhra Pradesh began at Hotel Grand Kakatiya on Friday. As many as 97 MLAs are first-timers.
The MLAs will learn about legislative procedures, conduct in the house and general formalities. Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad formally inaugurated the training module.
Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan, Union Minister for Finance Arun Jaitley, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs M.Venkaiah Naidu, Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu and other prominent personalities would address the newly elected MLAs.
