Trainee Teacher Rapes Class 9 Girl In School

Nagarkurnool: A Class 9 student was sexually assaulted by a teacher in Peddakottapally in the district on Sunday. The incident came to light on Monday after the girl's parents lodged a complaint with the police.

The victim, a native of Chinnakottapalli is studying Class 9 in the Government High School in Peddakottapalli. The accused Narsimha was on internship program as a part of his B Ed second year course. He asked the girl to help him in writing his records, for which the girl accepted. On Sunday, the girl went to school alone to hand over the records to him.

Taking the advantage of the situation, Narsimha confined her in a class room and sexually assaulted her. However, the girl escaped to home and told her parents. They lodged a complaint with police against Narsimha.

The police registered a case and are trying to nab the accused who went absconding.
