Train disaster: 9 passengers identified so far
As many as 26 passengers were charred to death when a fire broke out in Nanded-Bangalore express train near Kothacheru railway station, Ananthapur, on Saturday morning.
The injured have been admitted to government hospitals in Penugonda and Dharmavaram.
Among the 26 deceased, 12 women, 12 male and 2 were children. Out of this only nine bodies were identified.
The AC coach had 67 passengers on board, of which 26 were trapped in the fire while others managed to alight when the news of the fire broke out.
