Tonsured hair stolen from Kanipakam temple - Sakshi Post

Kanipakam (Chittoor): In a strange incident, 'Hair offerings' (Tonsured hair of devotees offered at Hindu temples) in famous Kanipakam Ganesha Temple in Chittoor district, have been stolen. The crime took place on Friday night at the temple's Hundi where the women devotees offer their shaved hair.

The thieves extricating from the Hundi located at 'Kalyanakatta' by using a hook. The police had been informed of the theft by the temple authorities and the investigation is on. The officials said that the stolen property costs around Rs.5 lakh.
