Censor Board Asks Udyama Simham Makers To Delete Controversial Scenes

Udyama Simham - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: The movie, Udyama Simham has run into trouble with the Censor Board. Based on the life of TRS president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao involving his struggle for separate statehood, TRS winning the elections and its governance, the movie is set to showcase the Telangana movement and also likely to include a sub-plot on the controversial cash-for-vote case, in which TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy is an accused.

However, the movie faced hurdles when it was sent to the Censor Board for certification but was returned and the makers were asked to cut few scenes depicting the photographs of Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and the late Rajiv Gandhi.

A scene showcasing the Congress 'kanduwa' (scarf) was also recommended to be deleted from the movie.

Scheduled to release in February, the makers are set to send the edited version to the Censor Board on Monday for the mandatory certificate.

Udyama Simham was slated for a November release ahead of the assembly elections, however, it was delayed. The movie features Natarajan essaying KCR's character. A sequel is also in the pipeline regarding the latest developments, particularly the victory of TRS in the recent Assembly elections.
