Ilayathalapathy Vijay-starrer 'Sarkar', a political drama which released on Diwali is running to packed houses across Tamil Nadu, the two Telugu states and in theatres overseas. Congratulatory messages are pouring in from all places and many actors from across the film industries have sent in their wishes and appreciation for the film.

Joining the list of stars is Telugu actor Mahesh Babu who took time off from shooting for his new film tentatively titled Maharshi, directed by Vamsi Paidipally, to watch the film yesterday.

Taking to Twitter Mahesh Babu offered his own feedback about the AR Murugadoss directorial venture.

"Sarkar is an engaging political drama!! Thoroughly enjoyed it... An AR Murugadoss trademark film. Congrats to the entire team”, he wrote.
Here's a look at his tweet:

It may be recalled that two of Mahesh babu’s films Okkadu and Pokiri were remade in Tamil as Ghilli and Pokkiri with Vijay in the lead and both were major blockbusters in his career.

Though Mahesh Babu's last film Spyder was made by South India’s biggest filmmaker AR Murugadoss, rumours were rife that Mahesh babu was highly upset with the way the film fared at the box office and also being his Tamil debut launch which didn’t do too well. It is said that Mahesh Babu had ignored AR Murugadoss’s request to remake Spyder in Hindi with him in the main role, leading to long standing rift between both of them.

But with this one tweet from Mahesh Babu, he seems to have moved on from the past debacle of Spyder and there seems to be a chance of a second–time association between him and Murugadoss in the near future.
