Censor Board Shocker To NOTA

NOTA - Sakshi Post

One of the hugely awaited Telugu films, NOTA is gearing up to hit the marquee on October 5. However, there seems to be problems galore for the makers as right from the political fraternity to the censor board have decided to give them a hard time.

First it was Congress which called for stalling the release saying the film could benefit a certain political party while a few other maintained that the film could influence voters and was violation of the election code of conduct placed in Telangana which is preparing to go to polls in a month's time.

As is known, NOTA is a bilingual and will be released simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. While the Tamil version was awared U by the CBFC  in Tamil Nadu, the scene back home is entirely different. However, looks like with so many objections, even the lead actor was expecting 'A' certificate for the Telugu version. Look what he tweeted.

Sure enough, we hear that the CBFC back home has asked the makers to remove a few controversial lines and scenes from the movie to avoid any further problems. The Telugu Censor Board is believed to have asked the makers to mute a few lines while chopping off scenes that could cause problems for its release. The political drama has piqued the interest of moviebuffs after the trailer and teaser went viral.

The film, directed by Anand Shankar features Vijay Deverakonda, Mehreen Pirzada as the lead pair while Baahubali actors Nasser and Sathyaraj will be seen in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda released another promo from the film. Have a look here...

So, all set to watch the film in theatres? We will soon be back with box office numbers, so stay tuned to Sakshipost for all the updates.
