TJAC outlines new agitation plan

The Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC), that spearheads the pro-Telangana agitation, on Sunday, announced another round of agitation programmes including 'deekshas' across Telangana region.

Disclosing the details after the TJAC meeting held here today, JAC President Kodandaram said as part of the agitation, they would organise deekshas across mandals and district headquarters in the region from 17 to 27 of this month, demanding the Centre to take a decision in favour of Telangana.

'Mounadeeksha' would be held on January 17 at Gun Park in Hyderabad. It also proposed to organise 'Samara deeksha' on January 27 just before the Congress High Command likelt to announce its decision on Telangana.

If the Centre fails to announce its decision in favor of Telangana, the TJAC would start 'Mahapratighatana' agitation from January 28, he said.

The meeting witnessed the attendance of Kodandaram, Srinivasa Goud and several other leaders at the TJAC office.
