TJAC demands probe into 'T' activist death
At least 20 persons suffered minor injuries in the incidents of lathicharge, teargas shell burst, stone-pelting and other acts of violence in different parts of Hyderabad during the Telangana March on September 30. Rajiv Reddy bore the brunt.
He inhaled the teargas in the police action and was also hit by one of the shells that day and succumbed at a private hospital in Hyderabad yesterday while undergoing treatment. He was cremated today.
Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman M Kodandaram and BJP State President G Kishan Reddy paid tributes to Raji Reddy and said that Rajiv Reddy was the victim of state-sponsored terrorism. Demanding action against the policemen who were involved in the incident, the TJAC demanded a probe into the incident.
The activist who suffered injuries when a tear gas burst by the police, succumbed at Mediciti hospital. He hailed from Peddammapet village in Karimnagar district and was running a chicken center at KPHB Colony in Hyderabad. He actively participated in the Telangana march. He was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital with bleeding injuries and was later shifted to Mediciti Hospital as his condition worsened where he died yesterday.
